Credo People

Anna Wilson Senior Associate Consultant

I graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Geography and Management Studies. After taking 6 months off to travel, I started at Credo in January 2007.

My first experience of Credo was the 'Introduction to Strategy Day' I attended during my final year at university. The company appeared to have much to offer graduates- the opportunity to do real strategy work, early client contact and the opportunity for rapid promotion. However, what really impressed me were the people I met: sharp, enthusiastic about their work and with a sense of humour.

Over the last 18 months, I have enjoyed working amongst these individuals. Credo’s projects are shorter than the consultancy average, and I worked on 12 different cases in my first year. This means that new starters really do gain experience across a range of industries: since starting, I have worked in transport, healthcare, post, telecoms and training, amongst others! Even within cases, work is very varied, with a typical day involving meetings, desk research, interviewing and excel modelling.

I believe that there are many advantages to working in a small company- a real sense of team spirit, fostered through a transparency which enables people at all levels to understand the business. It has been exciting to be part of a company during its most successful year and to experience a shared sense of achievement. Yet, despite its size, Credo has big name clients- I worked on one of the biggest Private Equity deals of this year as it was splashed across the front of the newspaper business pages. I cannot think of a better place to have started my career and, as we look to grow further, I would thoroughly recommend Credo.
