I graduated from Cambridge in July 2005 with a degree in Engineering. Having spent a gap year and several summers working for a large pharmaceutical company, I decided that this wasn't for me. I wanted to work for a small personal company and work on a variety of problem-solving projects across a range of industries. Strategy consultancy fitted the bill perfectly, and Credo appeared to be the type of company I was looking for. As a small boutique strategy consultancy working for a range of companies, they could offer a challenging and varied mix of work, in a fun environment with good people.
In the two and a half years I have been here, I have not been disappointed. The variety of projects on offer mean that already I have worked across a range of sectors (including healthcare, construction and utilities), gained significant client exposure (from management right through to board level), and travelled extensively across the US. The learning curve is steep and ongoing, but the supportive nature of people within Credo ensures it is never daunting, and it is these people within Credo that truly set it apart.
The 'work hard, play hard' attitude adopted by Credo partners and associate consultants alike provides an environment where achievement and having fun go hand in hand. On a recent project in the US, no sooner had we completed a tough week's work on our client's site in Dallas than we were off to Las Vegas for the weekend. It is safe to say that the project was more successful than our time spent in the Casino!
