I graduated from Oxford with a degree in Modern Languages (French and German). After a year working for a major music company, I realised I did not want to limit my experience to a single industry at this stage of my career. I turned to strategy consulting looking for exposure to a variety of different industries, a steep learning curve and an energetic working environment. I found all of these in abundance at Credo.
Being a smaller consulting firm, Credo affords new joiners visibility at every level of a project and the company as a whole. For a graduate looking to learn and have an impact on a client’s business, the opportunity to interact directly with partners and clients is invaluable, and this is encouraged and expected from day one at Credo. Our projects have a strong strategy focus and we work with a wide range of exciting companies. In the past few months I have worked with sectors as varied as aerospace, vehicle rental, construction and rail. I have enjoyed immersing myself in a different industry with each project, whether this means travelling across the country to meet a client team or speaking to a Private Equity house to get their views on a specific sector.
Credo has a strong culture, both in terms of our approach to a case and our interaction with each other. Meeting the team had a big impact on my choosing Credo. The intelligence, frankness and enthusiasm that characterise Credo people make it a great place to work. Whether in official training sessions or on a case, I have learnt a huge amount from my colleagues and if I am ever daunted by a project they are the first port of call for guidance and support. It is the quality of the people that makes a consulting firm, and I believe Credo is a truly excellent one - I could not be happier with my choice.
